Union of Employers of ICT
The Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technology was established in 2015 in Armenia by Unicomp, Viva-MTS, Synopsys Armenia, IntellCors and a number of other large ICT companies. The Union is the only one in Armenia with the ICT-oriented educational institutions of RA as members of the union.
The goals of the Union are:
- Protect the interests of union members

Promote trainings of staff per the requirements of ICT and related areas

Assist the programs aimed at approach and fusion of science and production

Rais awareness of Armenia in the international arena

Implement programs promoting the growth of local and foreign investments in the sphere

An ICT curriculum is being introduced at high schools
Valuing importance of education, the Union of Employers of ICT joined the project of teaching ICT related subjects at high schools and in 2017 signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.

December 7-9, 2018
Project for the establishment of regional centers of the Union of Employers of ICT
In order to support high-tech development in the regions the Union of Employers of ICT together with RA Ministry of HTI, Engineering Association, and EIF signed on December 7-9, 2018 in Gyumri city a memorandum of cooperation within the framework of the second forum on Strengthening Regions through High Technology Promotion.

December 4-5, 2019
The Silicon Mountains Forum was held in Yerevan
On December 4-5, 2019 in Yerevan the Silicon Mountains Forum on Smart Solutions was held, which brought together ICT leaders from Armenia and abroad. The speakers of the event were representatives of Microsoft, Cisco, nCipher Security and NXP Semiconductors. The honorary guest of the forum was Japanese scientist Takeo Kanade, the winner of the State Award of RA for Global Contribution through IT.

December 23, 2020
The Smart Solutions Center was opened at NPUA
On December 23, 2019 the Smart Solutions Interuniversity Center was opened at National Polytechnic University of Armenia, which was founded as a result of the cooperation between the Union of Employers of ICT and NPUA. The general partner of the initiative is VivaCell-MTS. The partners are Synopsys Armenia and Unicomp. The Center will offer courses in the following areas: cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and microelectronics as well as trainings and re-qualification courses.
