“Labor Action: Collaborative Effort for Accountable and Inclusive Employment” program implemented by EU

An innovative online labor rights monitoring platform will be set up within the framework of the “Labor Action: Collaborative Effort for Accountable and Inclusive Employment” program implemented by EU founded ICT Employers’ Union and its partner “Armavir Development Center” and “Kiraki” non-governmental organizations.

On June 24 of this year a meeting was held with the Health and Labor Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia, where the main functions of the platform mentioned below were discussed.

  1. E-hlib system. This system will allow to improve the internal capacities of the Inspection body and to carry out clear accounting about the economic entities under control.
  2. Risk The calculator will allow the Inspection Body automatically to find out the list of those companies that will be considered high, medium and low risk, by entering the data available to it as well as data collected from other state bodies, which will form the program of inspections for each following year.
  3. Implementation of standard employment contracts. At the moment, it is being discussed to invest only in the mining industry. The parties agreed to create standard contracts with the experts of the Inspection Body for the most problematic areas and to post on the website, which will help both employers and employees, who can check whether the contracts concluded with them contain the minimum points required by law.

The proposed ICT solutions will be transformative for the control of labor rights in Armenia and will be available both for the employees of the Health and Labor Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia and for the public.
