Cybersecurity online course

Within the framework of the grant program announced by the Ministry of HTI of the Republic of Armenia, the Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technologies is co-financing the Cybersecurity course already for the 2nd year, which is completely free of charge for Artsakh war participants.

About the Project

The Union of Employers of ICT is co-financing the Cybersecurity course organizing trainings for 100 participants, the duration of which is 2 months. During the course participants got knowledge and skills in all areas of Cybersecurity, which are information security, systems security, network security, mobile devices security, physical security, ethical and legal requirements, methods and techniques ensuring business information security, as well as mitigation of consequences of incidents.

Participants will learn:

  • Describe the characteristics of cybersecurity world criminals and experts
  • Describe how the principles of confidentiality, integrity and accessibility relate to data statuses and means countering cybersecurity threats
  • Describe the tactics, methods, and procedures used by cybercriminals
  • Describe how technologies, products, and procedures are used to protect privacy
  • Describe how technologies, products, and procedures are used to ensure the integrity
  • Describe how technologies, products and procedures ensure high accessibility
  • Explain how cybersecurity professionals use technologies, processes and procedures to maintain all network components
  • Explain the purpose of cybersecurity laws

At the end of the course, the participants will be awarded with:

  • Certificate of Excellence (if the final score is 85% and more)
  • Graduation Certificate (if the final score is 50-84%)
  • Certificate of Participation (if the final score is 49% and less)

Course Format

Cybersecurity course will be conducted 3 times a week (total 27 lessons, 2 hours each) with average 50-60 participants per group.

The course consists of theoretical and practical parts:

  • the theoretical part will make up 54% of the total course.
  • the practical part will make up 46% of the total course.

The course will be conducted online through the licensed Cisco Webex Trainings platform that meets all the modern requirements. The Cisco Networking Academy platform will be used for the final exam, which allows to check and evaluate the solved tasks automatically.


Please be informed that the applicant will be expelled from the course:

  • in case of 9 absences
  • In case of not paying 50% of the total amount of the course within 5 working days after signing the contract.

Who can participate?

The program is open to citizens living in the Republic of Armenia and in the Republic of Artsakh (18 years old people from Yerevan, and 16 years old people from the regions of Armenia and Artsakh), who will pass the course admission procedure and will correspond to the purpose of the program.

The target groups of the project are:

  • Participants in the Artsakh war (all participants who passed the admission procedure will study free of charge)
  • Participants who suffered from Covid-19 (vulnerable groups from tourism, service sector, etc.)
  • Students
  • Beginners and specialists working in the field of IT
  • Anyone wishing to receive basic and specialized technical education in the field of IT

Terms of participation

To participate in the course, the applicant must have the necessary minimum knowledge and skills:

  • Computer skills
  • Intermediate level of English
  • Basic knowledge of network technologies

Before the start of the course, the applicants’ knowledge will be assessed through an online test.

The online admission test will consist of 20 questions (12 in Armenian and 8 in English). Preference will be given to participants with more than 60% of test results. At least one of the English questions must be completed correctly.
