Silicon Mountains regional forum, uniting leading companies, startups and the representatives of regional companies, has been organized in Armenian regions since 2024. In the framework of the event panel discussions aimed at spreading ICT solutions in regions are held.

The Union of Employers of ICT has always prioritized regional balanced development, which remains a key pillar of its strategy.

On December 7, 2018, as part of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the UEICT, the EIF, the IA, and the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, the Union began establishing regional centers to unite the ICT community.

The first regional center was launched in Shirak, followed by one in Lori. Today, the Union is also represented in the Gegharkunik and Armavir regions.

The Silicon Mountains event was originally conceived as a nationwide initiative, aiming to extend technological opportunities to all regions of Armenia.

In 2024, the Union brought this vision to life by organizing its first-ever regional technology forum.

The inaugural forum took place at the Gyumri Technology Center in Shirak, focusing on key regional topics: Human Capital, Investments in Regions, and Startups in Regions.

Moving forward, the Silicon Mountains event will be held twice a year—once in a selected region of Armenia and at the end of the year in Yerevan.
